About the Webmaster
Dr. Tim Ong graduated from University Malaya in 1989 after 5 years of medical education and training in University Hospital, Kuala Lumpur.
He did his housemanship in Kuala Lumpur General Hospital (now KL Hospital) for 1 year before being posted to serve 2 years in Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sandakan, Sabah.
In 1992, he returned to University Hospital for further training with the Primary Care Unit in preparation for his career as a general practitioner in private practice. He joined a small group practice in 1993 before setting out on his own private practice in Bandar Sungai Long in July 1996.
Dr. Ong is also very active in social and Buddhist works. He is the founder of Sungai Long Buddhist Society and served as its president for 4 years. He is also the President of the Maha Karuna Compassionate Home in Taman Midah which houses the old and the destitute. He was one of the co-founders of this home.
Dr. Ong believes strongly in the benefits of meditation. He has been meditating since 1993 and is now facilitating a meditation class every Wednesday. He has also written a book called Meditation: Tool for Transformation which is available in e-book format.
He has authored several books on personal transformation and health in e-book format. One of them - The Book of Personal Transformation - is available in printed form. He is also one of the contributing authors to 101 Great Ways to Improve Your Life - Volume 3, together with other authors like Mark Victor Hansen, Les Brown, Byron Katie and Ken Blanchard.
In addition, Dr. Ong also gives talks and conduct workshops on self improvement, mind science and spirituality.
